Amos Warren, Training Director at Chick-fil-A McDonough, faced the challenge of managing leadership development and culture across two stores with over 100 employees. With a diverse team ranging from high schoolers to adults, ensuring consistent training, accountability, and cultural alignment was a major hurdle.
“Two stores and a hundred plus people — it’s hard to keep all that going without the right tools.” — Amos Warren
The Solution
Amos leveraged OneClick’s passports, checklists, and training tracking to streamline leadership pathways and give team members ownership of their growth. He built a Captain Program where employees take initiative by applying for leadership roles, completing training steps via passports, and engaging with leadership-focused resources. Culture was reinforced with visible “5 Norms” posted throughout the store and integrated into every stage — from hiring to daily operations.
“The team member has the power — they can click off their journey in passports instead of putting it all on the leader.” — Amos Warren
The Results
Through Amos’s approach, Chick-fil-A McDonough cultivated a stronger leadership pipeline, improved accountability, and a thriving culture. Captains and area supervisors are better prepared to manage shifts, and the entire team operates with shared values and high engagement. Stewardship practices like smart shop data integrated into daily line checks have reduced operational errors and improved standards.
