Back in 2010, training was as informal as it gets. New hires received a quick text from a team lead, shadowed for a couple of days, and were left to figure things out. With no structure, team members often learned haphazardly, relying on overworked peers and inconsistent habits. As the Cranberry store grew busier and the Wexford location opened, the need for a scalable, consistent training system became urgent. Without a clear path or support, team members struggled to stay on track—and managers were too overwhelmed to train every new hire effectively.

The Solution
Krystina and her team introduced a level-based training program that broke down every task into structured tiers—Level 1, 2, and 3—for both Front and Back of House. Roles were mapped based on complexity and accuracy, and team members could progress at their own pace, earning raises and recognition at each milestone. Certified trainers and champions took ownership of onboarding, supported by OneClick’s digital tracking tools. Customized passports ensured consistency, while new hire checklists and mentorship built confidence from day one.
