Connect OneClick to Vendor Bridge
Type: How-To Module: Getting Started (bonus) Template: v0.5
At a glance
Vendor Bridge is the CFA Home integration that automatically sends team member and schedule data from CFA Home to OneClick. Connecting takes under five minutes and has two required stages: authorizing OneClick in Vendor Bridge on the CFA Home side, then authenticating with CFA Home from the OneClick integration page. The second stage is the step most operators miss.
Before you start
You need operator-level access to CFA Home. A OneClick account is not required to complete the connection (the operator never signs in to OneClick during this flow), but the operator must visit the OneClick integration page to complete the second stage.
Multi-store operators only need to complete the connection once. The operator's approval applies to every store connected to that operator, and the green confirmation banner flips on each store individually as the handshake completes.
Steps
The two stages are presented below in the order they need to happen. Do not skip stage two; the integration shows as pending until both stages are complete.
Stage 1: authorize OneClick in Vendor Bridge
- Sign in to CFA Home.
- Navigate to Reports & Tools, then Vendor Bridge.
- Tap Explore All Vendors. Find the OneClickApp vendor card.
- Tap Connect on the OneClickApp card.
- In the Add Data Integration dialog, tap Continue.
- Review the agreement. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the form (the Next button stays disabled until you do), then tap Next.
- Enter your name in the signature field and tap I Accept.
- Confirm that OneClickApp is now listed under My Vendors in Vendor Bridge. Vendor Bridge will show that the data has not been accessed yet. The process is not complete. Proceed to stage two.
Stage 2: authenticate with CFA Home from OneClick
- Go to the OneClickApp integration page (link provided in the Vendor Bridge completion flow).
- Tap Authenticate with CFA Home.
- Sign in with your CFA Home credentials.
- Wait for the loading spinner to finish.
Stage 3: confirm the connection (optional)
Open OneClick on any device tied to your store. The Vendor Bridge banner at the top of the app shows connection status:
- Green banner: integration complete, data is flowing.
- Yellow banner: something is unfinished; stage two is the most common cause.
If the banner stays yellow, retrace the steps above. The most frequently missed step is stage two, step 1 (going to the OneClickApp integration page after completing Vendor Bridge on the CFA Home side).
What data flows after connecting
Once the integration is live, Vendor Bridge sends two categories of data to OneClick:
Schedule Data: Person ID, Location, Shift Start, Shift End, Schedule Type, Task Name.
Team Member Data: Last Name, First Name, Preferred Name, Address, Home Phone, Cell Phone, Email Address, Job, Role, Employment Category, Start Date, Hire Date, Hourly vs Salary, Wage, Birth Date, Person ID, Status.
Social Security Numbers are never shared with OneClick. The Person ID field is the HotSchedules Employee Number, not the SSN.
OneClick uses birth dates to display minor status icons and to calculate breaks correctly in states where break law varies by age.
Common gotchas
The Vendor Bridge banner stays yellow after completing stage one. Stage two was skipped. This is the most common failure mode. Go back to the OneClickApp integration page and tap Authenticate with CFA Home.
The operator does not have a OneClick account. That is fine; the operator does not need one. Stage two works through CFA Home credentials only.
You have multiple stores and are not sure if they all connected. The green banner flips on each store independently as the handshake completes. Check each store's OneClick instance individually.
The Next button in Vendor Bridge stays disabled. You have not scrolled to the bottom of the agreement. Scroll all the way down and the Next button activates.
You see the yellow banner after waiting several minutes. Sign out and sign back in on the OneClick device; the banner refreshes on sign-in.
