Assign Team Members to a Checklist
At a glance
From the Checklists screen you can drag a team member's name onto a checklist row to assign that team member to complete the checklist for the current shift.
Before you start
- A role with Manage Checklists permission (or higher).
- The checklist must be active and assigned to a Position your team is staffed for today.
- The team member must be clocked in (or at least scheduled) for the shift.
Steps
- Open the Checklists screen for today's shift.
- Find the checklist you want to assign in the list.
- From the team member panel on the right, drag the team member's tile onto the checklist row.
- Confirm the assignment in the popup. The checklist now appears in that team member's task queue.
- To reassign, drag a different team member onto the same row. The previous assignment clears automatically.
Common gotchas
- If the team member's tile won't drag, they probably aren't on today's roster yet. Add them to the shift first, then come back to Checklists.
- Assigning a checklist to a team member doesn't change the checklist's Position attachment. Position-level assignment still drives recurrence and reporting; the team-member-level assignment only sets who completes it for today.
- A checklist can have only one team member assigned at a time. Drag a second team member to swap, not stack.
- Checklists set as "Leaders only" can only be assigned to team members who carry a Leader-tier permission.
