Review a Completed Checklist


At a glance

After your team completes a checklist, you can review it as a leader. Reviewing lets you rate manager satisfaction on a one-to-five star scale, see the evidence your team submitted (photos, signatures, completed tasks), and create a record you can refer back to later. Use reviews to track quality over time, identify training opportunities, and recognize strong performance.

Before you start

  1. You need a role with permission to review checklists.
  2. The checklist you want to review must be completed, the Review button only appears once the checklist is fully done (shown by a green progress bar).
  3. Have any notes or comments ready if you want to include them in the review.
  4. Estimated time: two to five minutes per review, depending on how many sections the checklist has.

Steps

  1. Select Checklists from the left navigation menu.
  2. Find a completed checklist in the Current Daily Checklists or Weekly/Monthly Checklists list. Completed checklists show a green progress bar and a Review button on the right.
  3. Click Review to open the review panel. The panel shows each completed task, who completed it, when it was completed, and any photos or signatures that were attached during completion.
  4. Scroll to the Checklist Review section below the completed tasks. Confirm the header reads Reviewing as: You (or the reviewer's name).
  5. Enter an Overall manager satisfaction rating using the one-to-five star scale. Then set a rating for each section (for example, General) of the checklist.
  6. You should now see the review saved against the checklist's history. The stars you selected persist on the review panel, and the checklist remains viewable in the completed list with the review attached.

Common gotchas

I cannot find the Review button.

Review is only available on completed checklists. If the checklist still has unfinished tasks, the Review button will not appear. The checklist's progress bar needs to be fully green (all sections complete) before Review is offered. If a section is still in progress, the team member assigned to it still needs to finish.

I reviewed the wrong checklist or gave the wrong score.

My team member says they did not see my comments.

The photo evidence is missing.

If a task was completed as a Photo task type but no photo appears in the review, the team member may have completed the task using a Service Account or the photo upload may have failed. See Create a Checklist for how task types are configured. If photo evidence is critical for your reviews, confirm the task type is set to Photo rather than Checkmark.

The checklist was completed by Anonymous.

If your store uses a Service Account (a shared login on a store iPad) and your PIN feature is not enabled, completions appear as Anonymous. The review will still work, but you will not be able to tell who on the team actually completed each task. To attribute completions to specific team members, enable PIN entry on completions, which is a separate configuration.

Still stuck

If reviews are not saving, ratings are disappearing, or you cannot find a checklist you expect to review, submit a support ticket and include:

  1. Your store number.
  2. The name of the checklist.
  3. The date the checklist was completed.
  4. A screenshot of the Checklists page or the review panel showing what you see.
  5. What you expected to happen versus what happened.
