Configure Notification Settings
At a glance
Configuring notifications is how you tell OneClick which events should generate alerts, for which delivery channel (Inapp, Push, or both), and whether the alert is active at all. You open Settings, click Notifications, and work through the four category dropdowns (Checklists, Moola, Rotating Buddies, Infractions) setting the three controls per notification type. Director permission or higher is required because these settings affect the entire store. A typical first-time configuration takes five to ten minutes; most stores then revisit only when a specific notification is too noisy or too quiet.
Before you start
- You need Director permission or higher. The Notifications settings page is Director-restricted by default because changes apply store-wide.
- Decide what you want your team to be alerted about before you start clicking. The four categories (Checklists, Moola, Rotating Buddies, Infractions) each have multiple specific notification types; going in with a plan is faster than toggling everything and iterating.
- Read Understand Notifications first if you have not already. The Reference article lists every notification type with a short description so you can pick what to enable.
- Estimated time: five to ten minutes for a complete pass.
Steps
- Open Settings from the left navigation menu.
- Click Notifications. The Notifications settings page opens with two zones: the global silence toggles at the top, and four category dropdowns below. An orange banner at the top reads: "The recommended settings for each notification type is marked with a red circle, these are only recommendations and can be changed based on your preferences and needs."
- Decide whether any global silencing is needed. Flip Silence App Notifications on to disable all Inapp notifications store-wide. Flip Silence Chat Notifications on to disable all Chat notifications. Leave both off unless you are intentionally quieting the whole store; the per-type configuration below is usually what you want to adjust.
- Expand Checklist Notifications Alerts by clicking the dropdown arrow. A table appears listing each checklist notification type (List Ready For Review, Assigned To Checklist, List Completed) with three controls per row: Inapp (checkbox), Push (checkbox), and Enabled (toggle). A red circle on a checkbox indicates the recommended setting for that channel. These are guidance only, not a lock.
-
For each notification type, decide:
-
Check Inapp if you want the notification to render inside OneClick.
- Check Push if you want the notification to go to the device's operating-system notification tray.
- Flip Enabled on to activate the notification. A notification type with Enabled off will not fire even if both channel checkboxes are checked.
- Repeat step 4 for Moola Notifications Alerts (5 types: Get Moola, Charged Moola, Moola Redemption Requested, Moola Redemption Approved, Moola Redemption Rejected), Rotating Buddy Notifications Alerts, and Infraction Notifications Alerts. Settings do NOT save automatically. After making your changes, click the orange Save Changes button at the top-right to commit. The button is greyed out until at least one change is pending. If it is greyed out, nothing has been saved yet.
- If you configured the Infractions threshold notifications (Point Threshold Low, Mid, High), confirm that the upstream threshold point values and recipient list are also configured under Settings > Infractions > Threshold Notifications. Both surfaces need to be set up for threshold alerts to fire.
- Verify your configuration using the Test Push Notification button at the top-right. Clicking it increments the bell badge and adds an entry to the Inapp notification panel so you can confirm delivery without waiting for a real event. Note: the test notification currently arrives with the title "Complete Your Profile Setup". this is a known cosmetic issue, not a misconfiguration. Alternatively, ask a team member to trigger one of the enabled notifications (for example, complete a checklist to fire List Completed) to confirm delivery on their device.

Common gotchas
I enabled a notification but no one is getting it.
Four things to check, in order. First, confirm the Enabled toggle is on for that specific notification type. Second, confirm at least one of Inapp or Push is checked. Third, confirm the global Silence App Notifications toggle at the top of the page is off. Fourth, for Push specifically, confirm the team member has OS-level notifications enabled for OneClick on their device; a user who denied notifications at install cannot receive Push regardless of store configuration.
I flipped the Silence App Notifications toggle on for a training day and forgot to turn it back off.
Turn it off and allow a few minutes for devices to catch up. If some users still report no notifications, ask them to log out and back in; app state can cache the silenced state across a session.
A Manager wants to adjust notifications but the page is read-only for them.
Notification settings are Director-restricted by default. A Manager does not have write access. If your store needs Managers to tune notifications, ask an Operator to adjust the Permissions configuration so the Notifications settings page is available at Manager level. Otherwise, route notification change requests to your Director.
The Infractions threshold notifications are Enabled but nothing fires when a team member reaches the threshold.
The Notifications settings page enables the alert channel; the Infractions settings page defines the point values that trigger low, mid, and high thresholds, and the recipient list that receives the alert. Go to Settings > Infractions > Threshold Notifications and confirm that each threshold has a point value and at least one recipient. Both pages must be configured.
I want to disable notifications just for one team member rather than store-wide.
Notifications are store-wide only; there is no per-user opt-out in settings. The team member can mute OneClick's Push notifications at the device level if they want fewer notifications, or log out when off-shift to stop Inapp alerts. If you need true per-user preferences, that is a feature request (submit via the Idea Board).
A notification type looks enabled but I do not know what it actually fires for.
Open the Understand Notifications reference article. It lists every notification type across the four categories with a plain-language description of when each one fires. That is the canonical reference for notification behavior; this How-To focuses on the configuration workflow.

Still stuck
If a notification type will not save, the settings page will not load, or the configuration appears correct but no alerts are firing, submit a support ticket with your store number, the specific notification category and type, a screenshot of the settings page showing the three controls for that type, and a description of what you expected to happen. Support typically responds within one business day.
