Transfer Moola to Another Team Member

Transfer Moola to Another Team Member

At a glance

You can send Moola from your own balance to another team member's balance. Transfers are useful when a coworker covers a shift, helps you through a rush, or deserves recognition you want to give directly rather than waiting on a leader award. The transfer draws from your own Moola, not from anyone's award budget, so it is fully peer-to-peer.

Before you start

  1. You need enough Moola in your own balance to cover the transfer. Check your balance on your profile's Moola tab before starting.
  2. Know the team member you want to send Moola to and roughly how much. A note explaining why is not required but makes the transfer feel like real recognition.
  3. Estimated time: under one minute.

Steps

  1. Select Team from the left navigation menu.
  2. Click the name of the team member you want to send Moola to. Their profile opens.
  3. Click the Moola tab in their profile's tab bar.
  4. Click the Transfer button.
  5. Enter the Moola amount and a note explaining the transfer (for example, "thanks for covering my drive-thru shift on Saturday"). [VERIFY: exact label for the transfer confirm button and whether the note field is required or optional.]
  6. Confirm the transfer. Your balance drops by the amount; their balance rises by the same amount.
  7. You should now see the transfer in both your own Moola history and the recipient's Moola history, with the note and the timestamp attached.

Common gotchas

I do not have enough Moola to cover the transfer I wanted.

Your balance caps the transfer. If you want to send more than you have, you cannot. Options: wait until a leader awards you more Moola, split the transfer across two weeks if you expect your balance to grow, or transfer a smaller amount now with a note promising more later.

I transferred to the wrong team member.

Transfers do not have a built-in undo. Ask the recipient to transfer the amount back to you, with a note explaining the correction. Both transfers remain in the Moola Transaction Log for auditability, but the balances end up right.

I cannot find the Transfer button on the team member's profile.

Confirm you are on the correct tab (Moola, not Ratings or Passports). The Transfer button sits alongside Reward and Deduct on the Moola tab. If you are on a narrow mobile view, the button may be below the fold; scroll down inside the Moola tab. [VERIFY: whether Transfer is available to all team members or requires a specific permission that might not be granted by default.]

The recipient says they did not get a notification.

Transfers generate the same Get Moola notification type as leader awards. If the notification did not arrive, push may be off on the recipient's device or the app may be caching. Ask the recipient to open OneClick and pull to refresh their Moola tab; the transfer will be visible in their history whether or not the notification arrived.

I want to transfer Moola to multiple team members at once.

The product does not support bulk transfers today. Each transfer is a one-to-one action. For group recognition, consider asking a leader to make group awards from a leader budget instead, or do individual transfers in sequence.

Can I transfer Moola to a leader as a thank-you?

[VERIFY: whether team-member-to-leader transfers are allowed by the current product, or whether transfers are restricted to peer team members only. The source article does not specify direction restrictions beyond the example of peer-to-peer.]

Still stuck

If a transfer does not complete, your balance is wrong after the transfer, or the recipient does not see the amount, submit a support ticket and include:

  1. Your store number.
  2. Your name and the recipient's name.
  3. The Moola amount you tried to transfer.
  4. A screenshot of your own Moola history and the recipient's Moola history around the transfer time.
  5. What you expected to happen versus what happened.

Source

Source of content is the existing kb.oneclickapp.com Moola article (uploaded Turn 21) Redeeming section, which documents peer-to-peer transfer as a distinct redemption path from the Moola Store purchase flow. The source uses real first-name placeholder names in an illustrative example ("Josh offers Emily $50 Moola bucks to cover his shift today"); this draft substitutes generic phrasing to comply with Template Spec v0.4 identifying-data rules. Voice rewritten to address the team member directly ("you") rather than describing the flow in third person.
